- Information and timetables
As part of the Tour de Skiftet cycling route, the journey includes travel on eight different ferries. The ferries vary in size and type – from small cable ferries operating short crossings back and forth on demand, to larger connecting vessels running according to fixed timetables. On this page you will find compiled information about the ferries along the route and their timetables. The vessels are listed in the order they appear along the route according to the recommended travel direction (Gustavs – Iniö and Houtskär in Pargas – Brändö – Gustavs). By clicking on the picture of the vessel you are interested in, you will be taken directly to its timetable.
Before starting the route, it is advisable to check the ferry timetables and plan your journey accordingly. For ferries where booking is possible, advance booking is recommended so that you can complete the route within the time you have planned.
During the summer season, there may occasionally be a short wait for the next departure on cable ferries and wire ferries that operate on demand and cannot be booked in advance. Since the crossing time on these ferries is short, waiting times are usually not long – a perfect opportunity to enjoy the archipelago scenery for a moment!
Please note: Not all ferries operate year-round, which means that the entire Tour de Skiftet route can only be completed during the period 8 May – 13 September 2026.
